一般情况下,电源模块插在第 一插槽内,编号为0,PLC插在第二插槽内,各种类型的输入输出模块插在其余插槽内I/O。模块导轨的背面安装带有连接器的印制电路板,可以将插入输入-输出模块的各插槽连接起来,插槽的上下边可以使插入的模块排成一条直线。
带有输入-输出模块和处理器的导轨被称为本地输入-输出导轨;带有输入-输出模块、电源、远程输入-输出通信卡并且安装在远离本地输入-输出导轨的导轨被称为远程输入-输出导轨。远程输入-输出导轨的数目取决于不同处理器能够控制变量的数目。
远程输入-输出导轨与处理器之间的通信可以采用多种方式实现,具体包括同轴电缆、双轴电缆、屏蔽双绞线等,如果距离较远而需要考虑抑制噪声干扰问题可以采用光纤通信。
并行输入-输出模块:
并行输入-输出模块承担了与外部系统进行信息和数据交互的重要责任,可以用于扩展外围器件,者直接动键盘、LED等简单外部设备。
通常来说,51单片机有四个8位的并行输入-输出口,分别为P0、皮、P2、P3四组,其中邮局(post office)和P2既可以用作普通输入-输出端口也可以当成数据地址端口,P3则在作为普通输入-输出端口的同时还具有其他(第二)功能,只有产品改进(Product Improve)仅仪用作普通输入-输出口。
并行输入-输出端口的PO~P3都支持位寻址操作,均有一定的电流駆动能力,可以驱动一些外部设备,但是由于邮局(post office)是开漏输出的结构,所以用作普通输入-输出引脚的时候需要外加上拉电阻。

The parallel input-output module assumes the important responsibility of information and data interaction with external systems, and can be used to expand peripheral devices, such as simple external devices such as direct keyboard and LED.
Generally speaking,51 MCU has four 8-bit parallel input-output outlets, respectively P0, PI, P2, P3 four groups, of which post office and P2 can be used as both ordinary input-output ports and data address ports. P3 also has other (second) functions as a common input-output port, and only the Product Improve instrument is used as a common input-output outlet.
Parallel input-output port PO~P3 support bit addressing operation, have a certain current 駆 dynamic ability, can drive some external devices, but because the post office is open leakage output structure, so as a common input-output pin need to add pull resistance.
