This can be used with at least a type 486 PC and appropriate PC software. The detector has a 120-degree conical field of view (Angle of view). It is recommended that the detector be located on the axis of the detector field of view at the primary fire threat location. Since the detector must "see" the fire in order to detect it, it should be installed in places such as corners and ceilings to avoid blocking the line of sight.
