The DS3800HLOC1A1B is a circuit board assembly for the General Electric Mark IV Speedtronic system. The Mark IV was one of several gas and steam control systems distributed by GE under the Speedtronic name since the late 1960s, and was the first to offer microprocessor control and TMR (Triple modular Redundancy) design. The MKIV provides digital computation and RS-232 or RS-485 data transmission.

The DS3800HLOC1A1B is a logical output board. It uses a leading edge design, which consists of multiple light-emitting diodes arranged in a line. These include <> yellow leds and <> red leds. Next to this diode line is a switching element. On either side of them are extraction clamps inserted into factory-made drill holes. Extractors make it easier for technicians to extract circuit boards from locations in the rack. It also gives them something to hold on to - the handle - whenever they need to touch the board.

The DS3800HLOC1A1B is reinforced by multiple plate stiffeners in both directions. In between, the DS3800HLOC1A1B consists of integrated circuits, diodes, resistors and capacitors made of various materials. Most components are labeled with reference names.
