The SCXI-1127 (Part number: 776572-27) is a high voltage matrix/multiplexer module available in a variety of configurations: 1 x 32 2-wire multiplexers, 2 1 x 16 2-wire multiplexers, and 4 1 x 8 2-wire multiplexers.
Additional configurations can be made using special terminals, such as a 4 x 8 2-wire or 1 x 32 2-wire matrix. NI SCXI-1127 has a multi-function scanning structure. Users can scan any channel and have multiple input modes in one scan, which helps to link multiple sensor types to a single module. SCXI-1127 has two scanning methods: software scanning and hardware timing scanning. Software scanning allows channels to be selected by software. This procedure does not require a trigger connection. In addition, software scanning does not provide the time accuracy of hardware timing scanning. Hardware timing scanning enables measuring devices, such as digital multimeters, to communicate with the NI SCXI-1127 via digital trigger signals. There are also two types of hardware timing scans: synchronous scanning and handshake scanning. A synchronous scan requires only a single signal from the device to the multiplexer, but a handshake requires another signal from the multiplexer to be linked to the device.
