The ABB MVME8105 processor module offers a two-track portfolio. The first track provides typical single-board computer I/O features including Ethernet, SCSI, multiple serial ports, a parallel port, and a PMC slot. Onboard I/O is routed to P2 and the user can pass through MCG's MVME761 or MVME712M transition boards. The second is to offer limited on-board I/O Ethernet and a single serial port both through the front panel but to offer dual PMC slots, supporting maximum user I/O customization. The MVME8105 combines the best features of both tracks to enable Oems to support the same base platform with different I/O needs, simplifying part number maintenance, technical expertise requirements and savings.

The MVME8105 is a high-performance VME processor module from MOTOROLA Computer Group MCG's PowerPlus II architecture with selected PowerPC processors. Whether it's MOTOROLA's MPC7400 with AltiVec technology for algorithmically intensive computing or the low-power MPC750.
