The EcoStruxure™Foxboro™DCS Field Control Processor 280 (FCP280) is a new distributed, optional fault-tolerant, field-mounted controller module for the FCP280 to perform regulation, logic, timing, and sequence control with the connected Foxboro DCS Fieldbus module (fbm). And data acquisition and alarm detection and notification. The FCP280 connects to the Foxboro DCS control network via standard fiber or copper 100mbps Ethernet cable from the network adapter mounted on its baseplate (see next figure).
The FCP280 requires Foxboro DCS Control Core Services v9.0 or later. A system with FCP280 and the software called EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS process automation system.
