The Model 8237-1600 can be configured to work with turbines of any size, as long as it is powered by steam, gas or water. This overacceleration device has a speed reading between 4 and 20 mA. If a turbine of any size starts to accelerate dangerously, this model will safely shut it down. The panel mount has a backplane structure for easy maintenance and replacement.
The Model 8237-1600 can be easily integrated into any turbine system with Modbus communication. In addition to acceleration detection, it is also equipped with microprocessor detection. The coating of this product makes it resistant to sulfur contamination and can be used in 3C2 environments. It complies with IEC 721-3-3 1994 international standard.
It uses three independent tripping relays, as well as low - and high-voltage power inputs. Models 8237-1600 also use a two-out-of-three voting structure.
