The Allen-Bradley 1794-OE12 is a high-density analog output module that is part of the Flex IO product family. The module has twelve (12) output channels that can be configured for 0-20mA, 4-20 mA current signals, and +/- 10VDC voltage signals. The module's channels are non-isolated and support a single-ended cabling configuration.

The 1794-OE12 is used with terminal bases such as 1794-TB3G and 1794-TB3GS with key switch position 4. It has an open housing, which means that the module and the entire Flex I/O assembly must be installed inside the housing to provide adequate protection for industrial elements.

The 1794-OE12 is equipped with a built-in analog-to-digital circuit (ADC) converter. It converts digital data into analog signals with a resolution of 16 bits and a 2-complement data format. For both voltage and current signals, the absolute accuracy of each output channel is 0.1% full scale @ 25 °C, with an accuracy drift of 0.004% full scale /°C for both signal configurations.

The current consumption of the 1794-OE12 is 80 mA, and the supply voltage is required to be 10.5-31.2VDC. Its power consumption is 7.68W@24V DC, heat dissipation is 26.2 BTU/ hr@24V DC, isolation voltage is 50V (continuous), basic insulation type. There is no isolation between channels. It has a physical dimension of 94.0 x 94.0 x 53.3 mm or 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.1 inches and has a built-in group diagnostic LED.

The 1794-OE12 has an operating temperature of -20 to 60 °C (-4 to 140 °F), a storage temperature requirement of -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F), and a relative humidity of 5-95%. Its operating shock and vibration ratings are 30 g and 5 g @ 10... 500 Hz.

1794-OE12 does not require calibration. It has a physical size of 3.7 x 3.7 x 2.1 inches and an open housing. It can be mounted using DIN rails. The output of the 1794-OE12 module is 0 mA until the configuration is complete. After configuration, the output signal range is 4-20 mA and 0-20 mA, both of which can be configured by the user, while the configurable output voltage range is +/-10V. The absolute accuracy of the voltage and current terminals is 0.1% full scale (25% each), and the accuracy of the voltage and current terminals varies with temperature by 0.004% full scale/Celsius. The module has a maximum power consumption of 2W at both 4V DC and 10.31V DC, a maximum heat dissipation of 3.24W at 4V DC, and a maximum heat dissipation of 7.24 BTU/hr at 4V DC. The module has an operating temperature of -20 to 60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature of -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. It also has a relative humidity of 5-95% and is non-condensing.
